Claim Policy
Customers should refer to the ST Express claim settlement policy when seeking compensation for eligible damage, loss or service-related cases accepted by insurers and carriers.
Claim Requirements
- All claims must be submitted within 15 days from the booking date on the official ST Express consignment note.
- Settlement is subject to the carrier notification printed on the reverse of the shipper copy.
- Settlement is subject to the terms and conditions in the ST Express quotation signed with the customer.
- Claims must use the official claim form with evidence, approvals and signatures from the concerned department and branch heads.
- Incomplete claim forms will not be accepted.
- The corporate claim department will verify and examine every claim.
- The invoice value declared while booking will be considered during settlement.
- Alterations are not permitted after shipment booking.
Liability and Exclusions
- For customers using per-kilogram insurance, the claim amount is restricted to ₹2,000 per kg.
- For client-insured shipments, ST Express will provide available supporting evidence such as a Certificate of Facts.
- Management has the final authority to accept or reject a claim in full or in part.
- Claims caused by deficient packing, pilferage, fragile or perishable contents, or restricted items will not be accepted.
- Claims caused by rain, flood, riots, accidents, strikes, flight delays, roadblocks or other natural events will not be accepted.
- Consequential loss caused by service delay is not covered.
- Claims concerning a change of transportation mode will not be entertained.
- This policy will be treated as a legal document in future claims and disputes.
